ITINERARy
Day 1 - After a short ride to Ingeniero Mauri, our ascent begins through the hillside of Golgota mountain, an endless amount of hairpins will lead us to the pass that will allow us to descend towards Incahuasi. From the pass we will be able to see the magnitude of the surrounding mountains and the path to follow on the next couple of days. After a descent of about an hour we reach the very old Inca ruins where we will set our campsite.
Day 2 - After having had a night under a sky full of stars, we have breakfast and later on begin our ascent towards the Abra de La Cruz, once there, we will be able to observe Salta city in the horizon and a big part of the Lerma Valley. we start our descent and after a couple of our we camp with a fantastic view of the Arenales river gorge.
Day 3 - Our last day of trekking goes quickly as we downhill towards the Arenales river, to a place called Puertas del Cielo, heaven gates. At Puertas del Cielo we will have our vehicule waiting for us to get us back to Salta. |
